Dr. Johnson is a dedicated dentist who prioritizes patient comfort.
Dr. Johnson grew up in Valparaiso, IN, and attended Indiana University – Bloomington for her undergraduate studies in Biology, Psychology, and Spanish. While Dr. Johnson was in college, she attended a dental mission trip to Guatemala to provide care to children in an orphanage. At the time, she did not realize that dentistry would be in her future, but she quickly found her love for the profession and pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Johnson still continues to teach at the dental school in the fixed prosthodontics course.
Dr. Johnson’s main passion is ensuring that patients enter a comfortable environment where they feel heard. She wants to alleviate fears the best she can and ensure that no one feels judged or misunderstood.
Outside of the Office
When Dr. Johnson is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family – her husband Brad and son Bennett and their two tiny dogs, Auggie and Lola. She and her husband love attending concerts and traveling together. They both also have a passion for all sporting events and can often be found cheering on the Pacers, Colts, IU Hoosiers, and Iowa Hawkeyes.
Professional Interests
Dr. Johnson is very actively involved in the dental community, taking leadership positions in both the Indiana Dental Association and the Indianapolis District Dental Society. She spends a lot of her time trying to better the dental profession for the benefit of dental professionals and patients. She is also a supporter of lifelong learning and regularly attends continuing education courses and study clubs to ensure she is up to date on advanced dental techniques and procedures.
